1.A daisy is a gorgeous flower, which grows In Ethiopia in the beginning of September every year and the whole country is covered for two month by its beauty and starts smells fresh from distances. As Ethiopia follows a different calendar, our new year falls when it is September in the rest of the world. This flowerer brings so much excitement to many Ethiopians and especially to me. Besides, this flower brings many attractive birds, butterflies, bees and insects until the end of October. Some of my best memories are from this season. Daisies symbolize innocence, purity, and fertility in our old Christian legends. Similarly in Ethiopia, many people see daisies as a symbol of optimism, happiness, enlightenment and sunshine. This flower was my inspiration for many years in my paintings.
